Welcome to theimporter.co.nz (the "site" of The Importer Ltd). Please review the following terms that govern your use and purchase of products from our site. Your continued use of this site constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by those terms. (the "Agreement") Please read them carefully.

Payment:
Payment options at the payments page are Bank deposit, or Credit Card. The Bank deposit option simply lets you know the process and details for making a bank transfer for your purchase. Bank deposits are processed overnight on Mon-Tues but on Fri-Sun they will be processed on Monday overnight. Please note that this means that items delivery will be delayed until payment received.
The credit card option is processed through paymentexpressl within our website. This is extremely secure and accepts all Visa and Mastercard cards and are processed almost instantly and this means your items can be sent out faster.

Availability:
All products listed on theimporter.co.nz web site are subject to availability. Although we try our best to keep items updated, due to having stores with the items for sale we do not guarantee that all the listed products will always be available when you place your order. Our customer support will inform you if the product ordered is out of stock or not available and you have the right to cancel the order, or change styles if needed.

Returns:
The Importer puts a lot of time into sourcing only the best possible products and wants you to be happy with your purchase. For retail store sales please ask at your nearest location for their instore policies. For web sales only, where the product cannot be seen prior to purchase, if you have changed your mind and are not satisfied with your item, you need to contact us within 3 days of receiving it and send it back to us within 7 days of receipt for a refund or exchange. No returns or exchanges will be accepted after the 7 day period. To receive a refund for a web sale, your item must be put back in it's original packaging, include all original tags and be in original sellable condition. Items that are not repackaged may be returned but are subject to a 10% restocking fee. All delivery charges including the original cost of delivery will be the responsibility of the customer should you decide to return or exchange an item. They may not be returned instore and need to be delivered back to the stock warehouse, at 8 Tawa Street, Mt Maunganui.

Damages and Claims:
Please inspect your items when receiving, before signing the delivery receipt. If damage has been found, please inform the carrier and remark on the delivery paperwork. theimporter.co.nz will not warrant any damage claims that have not been noted at the point of delivery, as once it is checked and leaves our warehouse, damage by the delivery company is beyond our control. You must contact theimporter.co.nz within 24 hours of recieving your order to report damage. Damaged items must be repacked in the original packaging they came in.

Faulty Products:
All items are inspected before dispatch. If your product through web sales has a fault that is not a result of delivery then we will return it. Please read About our furniture in terms and conditions.

GST Inclusive:
All the product prices listed on theimporter.co.nz web site are New Zealand Goods and Services Tax (GST of 15%) INCLUSIVE. The GST invoice can be supplied on request.

NZ Dollars:
If not specially stated, all the product prices listed on theimporter.co.nz web site are in New Zealand Dollars. theimporter.co.nz is not responsible for any extra calculation costs or currency exchange costs that may arise from you order.

Cancellations:
We accept cancellations on a “per-order basis”. Most furniture and other order items can not be cancelled once they have been dispatched. Should you wish to cancel and order please contact us.

About our Furniture:
All our timbers are handmade from family-owned plantation furniture and please note any imperfections are part of the uniqueness and character of each piece. Remember that Timber is grown and not man-made so over time it is possible to be some movement depending on the piece. This is a normal occurance with these natural materials, and not a fault with the product.
